Im working on the fuel system on my 67. It has an LS1 with a T56. I was originally working on using the 96 impala gas tank but Im not happy with it. I read some threads on here and I was looking at installing a fuel cell through the trunk so it sits flush with with trunk floor so I dont lose any trunk space. I want an intank fuel pump as well. What are you guys running and post any pictures you may have? Also, how much did you spend on it? Thanks in advance.

Fuel Safe - 18 gallon with an internal Bosch hi-vol pump and aluminum can.

I think it was $1800 or so..

Is your fuel cell visible from the rear? That's a nice setup.

Also a Fuel Safe (hung from underneath though), 22-gallon, 3-door sump, external Areomotive Pump. Undercoated black where it shows outside the car (obviously not shown here):

I used a Fuel Safe 22 gal fuel cell and used an in-tank Walbro pump. I built a basket to support the weight and it is visible from the outside. I didn't want the fuel cell to take up the entire trunk, so that's why I cut out the hole in the trunk pan and dropped it in level with the pan. You can see the picture of the basket before paint here

or go to

and go through the next couple of pages to see how they did it.

A lot of nice setups. I'm interested to see if anyone is using a fuel cell from summit racing. I know those sell for around $250+

I should clarify. Mine is throught the floor but I had a hat-design used so that the tank wouldn't hang much past the edge of the body. The tank goes up into the trunk about three inches.

I also used a basket to keep it secure. I couldn't go 22 gallon since my rear frame rails are moved inward. Hence the 18 gallon tank.
