Let's make the date official. January 20, 2008 to either Newcomb's Ranch http://www.newcombsranch.com/home_iframe.htm on the Angeles Crest Highway or the Paradise Cove Cafe http://www.paradisecovemalibu.com/beachcafe/index.htm

Similar to the Dec. 16 run to Malibu we'll make the final choice a day or two before. This gives us time to evaluate the weather and road conditions and arrange meeting spots. If the ACR run is a go, we'll depart the Shell Station at the 210 Freeway and the ACH exit at 6:30 am. If it's Malibu then we'll break into smaller groups and meet at Paradise at 8:00am.

Last Sunday's run was beautiful. Everyone is invited, any kind of car, no car, hitch a ride with another driver, whatever. It does not matter to us. We just like to hang out with other car people. We're a small group but hope to get new people interested in joining us for a fun time.

Chime in with your thoughts, and here's some pics to show you our possible destinations.

7:30 am PCH just north of Sunset.

Hangin' at the Paradise parking lot.

6:45 am ACH about 10 miles in.

At Newcomb's Ranch before breakfast. Lots of motorcycles show up later in the day.

Yo. Just need to decide if it's ACH or PCH or....

I will say this, the weather along the coast is superb.

Hey Mike, have you made the ride lately up ACH?

It's looking better and better that I'll be in Los Angeles (Van Nuys and Colton areas) this Friday. I'm leaning towards staying the weekend and making the Breakfast Run on Sunday before heading north back home.

Carl, if it's a go on my end I'll call your cell to get confirmed information. Sounds like lots of fun. Hope my company Jeep will fit in with all those muscly-type purdy cars ...

Cheers,
Mary Pozzi

No problem Mary.

Nick,

Rich, the guy with the blue Chevelle, is interested if we're PCH'ing it to Paradise again. I'm game for that, but it does make for a long day for you. OK? The weather and traffic this time of year is also hard to beat.

Mike's answer may seal the deal anyway.

I'm game either way. You know me, it's the love of the car and the drive!

I can do the Malibu meet, but the Angeles Crest drive would be a lot tougher for me to make. When are we deciding?

OK, PCH it is.

Let's do the same deal as last time.

For those that want to go we can meet at the Jack-in-the-Box in Glendale off the 134 at Pacific. Exit the 134 at Pacific, turn north. It's 200 yards on the LH side. 805 N Pacific Ave. 7:00 am. There may be a few minutes grace period, but Nick needs his morning groceries so there won't be any waiting around.

If others want to arrange another spot to meet that is more convenient then shout it out.

For those that go solo we'll meet at Paradise Cove:

Paradise Cove Cafe. 28128 PCH, Malibu. Approximately 8:00 am. If we park against the far wall in the parking lot we get it pretty much to ourselves.

Head count: Yay or nay and where you will meet the group.

I will catch up with you guys next time. Padadise Cove is only like a 20-25 minute drive from my house but I will be out of town on Sunday.

I will call Ron DeRadd and Craig Boone and see if they can join as well.

I'll be a no-show and am bummed. Dave made me come home tonight and just got here. Five and a half hours from San Bernardino to Salinas (includes food for me and the car).

If the run was on a Saturday, I would've stayed one more night. Too much work to do on cars and I've got four days to get it done.

Next time ...

Got on the websites for ACH and that restaurant sounds way cool. Will be down for that one.

Cheers,
Mary Pozzi

Sorry I missed this, I was tracking the other thread. I'm going to be a game time decision. The car is still giving me fits.

I wouldn't want to do the ACH at 6:30 in the morning. I've been up several times recently (including this morning) and while it looks like it would be okay, you just don't know what frozen runoff there might be around the next corner.

Mike, good to hear from you. Don't tell me you need to pull the motor AGAIN. We are definite for PCH. We will meet at the places and times Carl laid out in post #13 above.

Hope the car works out.

I'm not going to make it. Just got home with the car after a trying experience.

Car puked radiator fluid all over the floor. Soaked the carpet really bad. I don't know if it's a hose, heater core, or possibly a loose clamp (lasted 6700 miles though so that would be weird). I had some tools with me so I bypassed the heater core with one of the hoses by looping the intake output to the water pump but I'm to emotionally drained by yet another problem with this car to get up early and drive it w/o heat and soaked carpet to meet up with you guys.

Really beginning to think I should of bought a new vette instead of this thing.

Have a good time.

Damn!! I missed another one. You guys get up way too early for my weekend habbits ( all bad ) . I crawled into bed about 3 hours before you all met up this morning. How 'bout a LUNCH cruise :fingersx: some time.
Later,
