I am stoked! I just got a partial sponsorship from Hotchkis and Wilwood, full suspnsion including the tubulars...as well as 14in 6 piston fronts and 14in 4 piston rears from Wilwood, Thanks to both those companies..but herein lies my problem...

I am on a very tight budget to begin with and I need a set of 18s.... the ones I have on now are only to get it to and from the shop...they are not safe....I have a set of corvette take offs from a C6, but they wont fit without the mini-tub, which i am doing later.....and I dont want to buy 2 sets of wheels.

So (a). Any thoughts here?
(b) Inexpensive wheels?

I have 2 commitments where I must have the car at.....I cannot drive the car with the wheels it has on now....

Any thought will really help....

Check out the project car section on the DSE website. Mank cars are on plastic roller wheels that look like they might fit the bill. You might give them a call. Wouldn't drive on them, though.

2" adapters all around. Thats what i used and with a 285 tire in the rear, it clears the stock tubs.

Try checking out eBay or www.discounttire.com (http://www.discounttire.com) for BMW wheels?

These are available in silver finish or chrome and +20 or +40 offset per their website. 18x8 is also listed. They also have 20x8.5 or 20x9.5

The adapters arent expensive i paid 120 for all 4 of mine, 1 piece billet, hud centric.

But yes the C6 wheels wont fit unless you use an adapter with it. The bs on that wheel is about 7.5" you will need about 5.5 all around with 9.5 or wider rim.

its 5.8" bs, and your gonna need about 5" even.

Hard to say for sure not knowing what your're BS requirements are. You can look here (http://www.rims-n-tires.com/info_specs) to get an idea of what the +20 or +40 offset translates into. as far as bolt pattern, the BMW is 5x120 while GM is 5x120.65. If you do a search on BMW wheels you'll find alot of people are running them.

Try checking out eBay or www.discounttire.com (http://www.discounttire.com) for BMW wheels?

www.tirerack.com (http://www.tirerack.com)

Much better selection of wheels and tires.

Also the company is highly supportive of grassroots and club racing and autocrossing.

You can also go here for BMW fitment rims - ask for Tom Merifield, tell him Eric Heinrich (BMW Club racer) sent you.

He's a BMW guy, but he has alos owned a 69 Firebird, and he *knows wheels*

May I ask how you get a sponsorship like you did?

I do a number of car shows in Socal..as well as attending many others and organizing other automotive events. I contacted them, showed them some of the events, the number of hits on youtube and google, I did not ask for the items for free, but some sort of discount at their discretions, told them my goal with the vehicle and how I will further expose thier products to other people via different venues and medias.
