Does any one know if the emergancy brake system from a forth gen will accept a C6 Z51 rotor, and have the E brake still work? Thank you

Short answer, no. The problem is that in order to run the 330mm C6 Z51 rear rotor, you'll need to relocate the caliper outward by the 12.5mm radial difference...normally this would be done by using the C6 Z51 pad abutment brackets, but they're not interchangeable with the LS1 PABs.

The biggest drawback to the LS1 rear brake setup is the rotors IMO. You can swap in the C5 or C6 rear calipers, but you're stuck with the rotors and PABs from the LS1.

I believe people have adapted C5 rotors by spacing the LS1/4th gen backing plate out an extra 1/2"

I have someone to make spacers or brackets. Do you know if the inside diameter of the LS and C6 rotors are the same ? Thank you Again Wayne

You can, just to allow the caliper to sit right on the rotor but the parking brake would only be working with half of its friction material. Back spacing is all wrong.

Inside diameter are the same Motown.

Here's a link to someone on this board who did it:

Here's a link showing the calipers are virtually interchangeable: http://phantomss.com/camaro/c5calipers/index.shtml

I thought I had another link showing this swap in more detail. I'm pretty sure that only the top of the hat is changed so that you just move everything out an extra 1/2" to match up to the axle flange. The e-brake should remain fully engaged.
