Well - yesterday I purchased another old car. So as soon as i finish my 1968 Dodge Charger I'll start working on this one. it is a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner - 383 4-speed car. Complete but disassembled California black plate car. :woot:

Price - $2000.00

Car is strait, complete but disassembled, needs trunk floor & floor pans (both included), 4-speed, 383, freshly restored spare instument cluster (Redline charges about $1000 for it), originally a black car with white interior, manual steering, manual drum brakes -

My only complaint is the engine is not # matching and needs to go +.060" - but I have 3 other 383s in the shop to pick a better core to build.

The Plan: Unlike my charger I actually have a plan for this car that i will stick to (saves me $$$ that way). Although the class is non-existant out here in CA, I am going to build the car so it would be possible to compete in the Year One F.A.S.T class. The class has always interested me and presents a rather challenging build process. I still have not figured out the plan though. I can find a 400 block and stroke it to a 496 or such and dressed like a stock 383... or I can get a 440 and stroke it - but that would necessitate the cloning of an A12 440 six pack car... I'll figure it out when i get there I guess.

nice! I like those Mopars. I think building it for FAST would be a good challenge and be well worth the effort.

I'm surprised these cars can still be had for relatively cheap. There's been a handful of them complete that were very affordable. Congrats!
