I bought a assemblied 3rd member from moser for my 9", what would be the best paint to use on this? I was thinking about the duplicolor 1500* header paint. Would powder coating be to hot, since it is already assembled?

I don't see how heat could have an affect on it.

Hmm... So should I just leave it bolted to the housing or take it apart and let them mask it off? Do I need to have the inside of the housing (pumpkin) blasted and powder coated?

Don't powder coat an assembled housing. The rubber seals would not be happy.
If disassembly is not an option then painting is best. A high-temp paint is not necessary.

I will probably powder coat the housing and paint the third member then. Any ideas on rattle can paint for the third member?

Chassis Black "DONT POWDER COAT IT" It will ruin the seals
