The pictures aren’t great and for that I apologize but a couple of people had asked for some quick pic’s of the wheel/tire mock up that we’re doing on the ’67.

For the record the wheels in the picture are 18 x 8.5” with a 6.125” backspacing and a Toyo Proxes R888 255/35-18 tire. We are running ATS AFX “tall” spindles with AP Racing 6-piston calipers (14” rotor) and Global West upper and lower control arms. Modified stock subframe (ATS Chicane-LM coil over conversion) with Penske shocks. We’re using Baer Tracker tie rods and they are the tightest clearance issue that we have. The inner wheel wells have been tweaked slightly, but not for the tire (dry sump tank clearance, etc.).

We stared with a Tire-Mate backspacing tool but decided to buy a cheap rim from Summit to make sure on the critical clearances. We had a variety of spacer that allowed us to play with different backspacings.

We are not 100% done checking everything out – hopefully we’ll put that to bed tomorrow and I’ll post more/better pics over the weekend.

I am not going to suggest that this will work for everybody but it’s where we are at right now.
