i bought a painless relay bank to control my fuel pump and my fans in my 69 camaro. the relay bank has 3 40amp relays and a single 50amp circuit breaker.

my question is, will the single 50amp circuit breaker be enough for stock F body LS1 fans and an edelbrock fuel pump? i thought you were supposed to run inline fuses from each relay to the battery. should i drop the circuit breaker and run inline fuses instead?

i was going to wire my fans for ground activation because im running a painless thermostat switch, 205* on 190* off, that screws into the cylinder head.

i was then going to wire the fuel pump relay for power activation. here is the instruction manual.

I use fusible links to the battery and all main power up wires.

i like fuse link too but the 50 amp fuse will be fine. remember that those components arent pulling max amps all the time and most spike quickly then settle down once they start running. There are exepctions to the rule so i guess the best quesion to ask is what components are you running and we can go from there

edelbrock 120gph fuel pump - 3.9 amp draw and a set of 2001 Camaro Fans.

you have no problems with a 50 amper, those fans MAY spike to 25 amps for a quick second when they turn on but your current draw probably wont exceed 20 amps for all of em put together

awesome. i got the relay bank in the mail. its really nice. all the positive leads come from each relay then they are linked to a single large 12g wire. should make for a clean install.
