I have a few questions. How low does it hang? I've heard some bad things about Steeroids and a couple of other similar setups as far as bumpsteer. I'm not bad mouthing nor have I ever tried them its just what I've heard. How is your setup different? Can you use a power setup as well?

Thanks for the interest Siverbird. I have pics of our rack installed if you want to email me. Our gear tucks right under the oil pan, and is not the lowest part on the front end. The unique feature of our kit is that we use a narrowed gear. By doing so we are able to match the correct steering geometry. Email me if you want the install shots.

Not to be a pain, but would you be willing to give a little basic info on the kits and what you can gain from them? Performance benefits and such? Posting pics if possible would be cool too. We just can't get enough info. We're like Johnny5 from the movie "Short Circuit". We need input!!! More input!!!

Hello, very interested in the kit. I have a 69 Camaro with manual steering and wanted to convert to this setup. Can I use the power kit with the fittings plugged like the steeroid kit? I see you don't reccomend the manual kit for street use. Also, does this kit work with a Gen 6 Big Block Chevy with Hooker Super Comp headers? Any info or pics would be great, my email is

Alright , sorry it took so long to get this call made. I called Dave at unisteer today, and he has agreed to set up a group purchase for us. Their first batch is already sold out and the next batch will be complete in about two weeks, however you can order anytime before that. These current racks are for 67-69 Camaros, and are power. Unisteer is close to being complete a manual steer for the same, but these apply for drag race application or for the strong armed guys. I will post in the group purchase section. We need 5 orders to get 20% discount wich save us 160.00 per order. I will be ready to purchase in two weeks, so we only need 4 more. Pm me for any further questions, and or visit www.unisteer.com for more info. There is an installation sheet you can download or view. Thanks Bob :bananna2:

I'm very interested in the group purchase, but need to know if it will work on a Gen 6 BB engine with headers. Anyone know? Thanks

How well does your unit work with Mopars? I have a 78 Dodge Magnum with the same K member that a 1974 Charger has.

First off, awesome search skills, and way to go on not starting a new thread; we need more people like you here.
Second- I haven't seen this sponsor post in quite some time, so I'd recommend calling them to get a faster answer.

thanks I will call. Seems I have been doing more reading here than the other sites I go to lol. Also a lot has already been done so it's easier to read the answers instead of a lot of post. I have been here off and on for a while and it's easier to look before asking.
I am very unhappy about your 1st/ 2nd gen Nova rack kit. I installed one on my Nova a couple years ago with LOTS of issues and your tech support (Brian) implied that I was incompetent and did not accept a return. After lots of time and $$$ I pulled your kit and designed my own (which debuted at SEMA 2009). I have been in the suspension/ steering R&D industry for many years and I still have your kit in my garage because I dont have the heart to sell it. Feel free to PM me.

I don't know about the Nova kits, but I'm very happy with my 1st gen F body kit. I've had it for 3 years now with no problems exept for a leak at the pump tank (plastic). I like the way it leaves alot of room for the headers and moves weight from the drivers framerail to a low and center spot. When you hook up the shaft, use 3 joints, 2 seem to bind at the rack. BTW- one of the better instruction manuals I've seen.
