View Full Version : Is this gonna work for the fuel pressure?

The guys at Detroit Speed Shops sold me these fittings in order to put a fuel gauge on my fuel rail. I'm looking at these and the end that screws on there doesn't appear that it will work. At least to me it doesn't appear it will work. The end on the fuel rail has a plunger on it (much like the air nosel on your tire). I would think you would need to push that in, in order to get pressure outside of the rail and register a reading on the gauge. The fittings the guy sold me don't appear to do this.

Or am I getting it wrong?

The schrader valve gets removed from the rail to show pressure. There are fittings that don't need it removed, yours doesn't look like one.

Hilrod nailed it. Take a valve stem removal tool and take out the schrader valve. Problem solved.
