Which model Buick is that a little further down in the thread? That there is a '97.5-'04 Regal GS. 3800 Supercharged V6 (L67). They were capable of mid-14's stock if you're good and/or lucky. I owned a '99 until a couple years ago that with a cam, headers, and SC overdrive pulley did 13.6@105 - a set of slicks away from 12's. And mine wasn't exactly ahead of the curve. They're great DD's - cheap, comfy, reliable, and quick! Still kicking myself for selling it...

And back on topic, love the "antique"!

:lmao: That is just too cool! If I had something like that, the first thing I would want to do is blast by a cop doing double the limit ... on the highway. Would he notice? Would he believe it?:hmm: Would he hesitate writing me up for fear of being laughed at?:hah: Would I go to jail?:dunno:
Watching the video I couldn't help but notice the Snidely Whiplash driving gloves. This dude is into it!

Just read it in Hot Rod, holy sleeper. Even the spark plugs are trick-fakes

Only thing better is the **** Dastardle and Mutley photos. Both go to prove the simple things in life often bring the biggest grins.

Saw it in Hotrod. That thing is to bad ass. the video is great. I got one of those in storage but not quite that nice... Been in the family since 73 all original and rough but still runs and drives. I'll have to dig up some pics.

That is very cool. Our airbrush artist was just telling me how she would like to do some work on the spokes of a wheel, and here someone is doing something similiar. Sweet.

I'm not so sure the manufacturers understand or appreciate amazing work. Just look at the guys that get their cars for SEMA..Guys like Air Ride brought first class good looking work each year...90% of the rest of them glue on a bunch of trash that I would be ashamed to have in my booth. i took an acquaintence of mine car to SEMa a few years ago. It was 2 1/2 weeks before SEMa and he hadn't even started the project and was calling me frantically as usual to ask me what he ought to do to it. I told him and told him to to call and do the wood graining on it. He painted the truck and took it to Larry West to do a fake wood sides on it..it looked pretty neat. He puts some mickey mouse lambo scissor doors on it that wouldn't even line up and shut. I took it to SEMA in my rig and lo and behold it wins a GM design award..Give me a fricken break. it was one more junky ill conceived pile of dung. Interior was some goofy seat covers he had made and were hideous..fit like crap and were all puckered up. He gets cars each year from Ford and Gm..shows up with stuff I wouldn't be seen in public with. They won't give a car to me or Air Ride but they continue to give them to guys that do terrible work...I hope somebody's getting a helluva kick back...otherwise they are just stupid or have absolutely no taste or judgement. We win the Chrysler design award...they build a concept car that is almost a knock off of my Cuda...but they won't even talk about giving us a car yet they give them to some clown that comes out there with a POS that is a total embarrasement to them...problem is they don't even know it..unbelievable..and you wonder why they aren't making any money. Duh..I think I can see some trees in that forest..

totally agreed........sometimes i think its ALL tasteless tacky geeks working at the motor companies.........with all the amazing ideas and modifications out there, when it comes time to do a factory sponsored or modified vehicle, they always pick the worst of the worst..........its like they watch "fast and the furious" for their inspiration.
