Norway of all places. I bet you don't see too many cars like that around there. Pretty damn cool. Looks good, Olav.

Nice build. Any pictures before you started the re-build? It looks like you switched from a B-body/1LE 12" rotor to the C5 set up. I have a B-body/1LE swap on my '78 Camaro and have thought about upgrading to the C5 set up as well. Can't wait to see yours finished.

Thanks for the comment. Not so many of these in Norway, but it's not a rare car in Norway. Most of them here are not in good condition, daily drivers :-) These cars are not classic here. But I had mine for so long time now I probably never sell it.

Sorry no picks of it before i started, original it was brown with tan interior.

Working on the C5 brakes, finished the template/ "dummy" brackets today. Made a tool and surfaced the discs last week.

Had a look at your car , suits the color perfect. Mine will be black, with satin black moldings.

Welcome Olav, That's going to be an awsome ride, and even better over in Norway! My father was born in Haugasund? Spelling sucks..sorry. In fact he just got back yesterday from a visit back home..I've been over there and met all my aunts uncles and cousins and friends. It's beautiful over there. Where in Norway do you live? I know that gas in Norway is expensive, but it's got a higher octane:) . That will be an awsome cruising and racing car over there! The roads are perfect for the car your building, really curvy and winding at least where I was at. When I was there, I saw no muscle cars at all, and very few larger cars and trucks. Good luck on the build! It's nice to see some great cars over in Norway!!! Trond.

Thanks!

I live not far from Haugesund. I live in Stavanger, you probably landed on Sola Airport/ Stavanger. There are quite many US/ Muscle cars here in Norway. Many never see Rain or sun. I can post some links to some local internet sites and local " street heros". I also enjoy the roads here on the west coast. I personal ride MC also. Have a Thriumph Daytona 955cc sportbike. So the roads are perfect. I have only visited your counry one time, then I was i Florida and bought a -80 Corvette, -68 Charger and a -85 Monte Carlo SS all for a friend of mine. Looking forward doing it again later. I also have family in your Country. In California, they visited us a few years ago. Dont remember where :-( they live. Can find out...
Sorry for my English is not so good.

Sorry to burst your bubble but there's a difference in octane rating between the 2 sides of the ocean. So the European 95 is more or less the same as the US 89. . . .

Great going Olav, keep it up!

Well but we have 98 octane and thats more like US 91-93.
And then we got Shell V-Power. Itīs more than 100 octane. Out of the pump at the local gasstation... :twothumbs Here in Sweden that is.:1st:

Have bought LT1 intake. This is from a burned car but after some cleaning and powder coat it will be OK It's some work to convert but hopefully this will be better than the TPI intake. Have added some pic's to my cardomain site.

Thanks

Trying to have some regular evenings in the garage...

Have modified the bolt patter on the intake. Mounted the Alu subframe bushings and serpentin setup. Had to drill and tap the 2 lower bolt holes on the drivers side on engine block. These are the engine mounting holes of the first 265 engines. Also mounted the lightened bumper but only lightened 3lbs

Added some pick's to the cardomain site.

Found this Norwegian Camaro, Many says that the one piece spolier doesn't look good on the 78-81 models. Any coments on this ? Anyway I like it...

Have added some picks to my Cardomain site and started stripping the urethane nose.
