Does anyone run these? For sort of a budget build I was thinking of swaping out my 28 spline carrier and upgrading to a 31 spline carrier with new axles and this drop in style locker. Pro's or Con's.

Its the very same thing as a LockRite or an E-Z Locker... with very little difference the three.

The problem with 'drop-in' units is that you are going to be using your stock, bare carrier. The stock bare carrier's weakness is the the bolt crown on the side cover of the unit. It tends to fracture around the ring gear bolt recesses. Now... if you put a locker into it... you are pretty much assured that it will fail without really beating on it.

If you dont beat on it... go for it. They work great in an application that doesnt lend itself to other weakness. I have been running one in a daily driver application for 10+ years without fail.
