I have found a possible new project that I am hoping to pick up. it is about 125 miles from me and seems in good shape. also at a decent price. It's a 78 Buick Electra 225 2 door with olds 403 in it. I believe( the owner says it is a rear distributer )

It is a C body I think it would make a unusual pro touring project. I am looking along the lines of Jeff Schwartz's Cadillac. I posted a pic. It may be a couple weeks till I get a chance to go look at her. I will be taking more picts then.

Tim

PS: Anyone know of any C body suspension, brake parts

Good luck with your project. I'm a fan of the old full size buicks also. I own a couple of 72 LeSabres ( a coupe and a convertible). Neither is destined for Pro Touring, more for just decent cruisers. Here is a shot of my coupe after one of the other members here photochopped it a little.

Thanks for the compliments, guys. Its nothing special tho, just a daily driver for the most part. I've done some research and found no real bolt on suspension upgrades for these cars, even though they share the same chassis with the other 71-76 b-body gm cars(Impala, Caprice, Catalina, Bonneville, Delta 88, Ninety Eight, Centurion, Electra, etc). I know these are huge vehicles designed for comfort rather than speed, but hopefully someone with the resources will start developing something for them. At this time, these cars are very afffordable, and have some pretty decent potential for what they are (especially for some like myself, that needs room for the whole family...wife and 2 kids).

Unfortunately, the only people doing anything with these cars is the DONK :barf: crowd.

I agree those butchers should be shot:machine::machine:for what they do to a car. almost as bad as the demo derby morons

I know what you mean about a family I have a wife and 3 kids ( one out of the house now) That is why I haven't have a project car in almost 20 years.
