View Full Version : Anyone do comercial garage/shop floor coating?

Looking to see if anyone do garage floor coating for a bussiness. I have been wanting to start my own side bussiness for some time now. And during thanksgiving weekend I was talking to a family member who has been doing the floor coating as part of his side bussiness making pretty good money.

I'm just wondering if anyone on here does the floor coating as a bussiness (or part of a bussiness), and if so what company do you get your product from. My family member told me who he uses and is gonna help me out with some of this stuff but I was just curious to see if anyone else had any help to offer.

I'm not looking to quit my job I have now I just want to start my own bussiness to make some nice money on the side, with the intention of putting money back into the bussiness to help it grow later on.

What kind of floor? Epoxy or those snap tiles? I think you can become of dealer/installer of those snap tiles.

The Epoxy. But the snap tiles are a good idea too. The whole thing that got this idea started was a talk with my cousin, he said thats one of the things he did was the garage floor coating and makes decent money on the side and it's not to difficult to do.

If he has a model for success, I'd follow it. Sounds like a good idea if you could knock it out in a day or 2 at the most.

Yeah I was basicly gonna follow his lead, but stick to smaller stuff right now that could be knocked out in 2 days at the most. I trust what my cousin says but was just curious if anyone on hear was in the biz so maby I could bounce some ideas back and forth.

Will you be doing the true epoxy or the over the counter type like you can buy out of hot rod magazine or home depot?

The true epoxy. I have had a bad experience with the home depot type stuff.

call protection engineering in pitsburg california- speak with Lull- He set me up at my shop and the coating has worked good for the last 3 years and still looks new

Thats good, my brother in law had a bad experience with u coat it, basically home depot stuff.
