Are the LS1 and C5 rear caliper abutment brackets the same?

I know the rear calipers are the same, but not sure if the abutment brackets are the same.

Thanks Dan

No they are not the same, I ordered a set of each when I did my brakes and ended up using the LS1 ones. Sorry been to long and I can't tell you what the difference was. I think it was bolt spacing for the abutment to the rear housing, the caliper fit in either.

Pin spacing on the calipers are the same, but the calipers are different. Interchangeable, yes. The same, no. The abutments are different with respect to several dimensions, but the most obvious are the M12 tapped mounting holes on the LS1 versus the M14 for the C5/C6 versions. The FMSI pad specifications are different as well between the two.

Any one see a problem with me running LS1 backing plates, LS1 rotor, LS1 brackets, and C5 caliper.

You just need to run the LS1 pads with the C5/C6 caliper. You may need to modify the anti-rattle spring according to the write-up in this link, http://phantomss.com/camaro/c5calipers/index.shtml
