....and the Riot has finally been quieted.

Someone call Noddy Holder and Dave Hill and tell them they can have their songs back.

Yeah QR was the first to get a Heavy Metal album to #1 on Billboard, must have been 83 or 84. In 1991 Skid Row's Slave To The Grind was the first heavy metal album to debut at #1.

That's what the article said.

They were the first metal band I ever got into.

I saw Quiet Riot with Kevin Dubrow , Carlos Cavazo , Rudy Sarzo , and Frankie Banali in 1983 just before Cum on Feel the Noize broke out as a hit.
At a small club in Atlanta, Ga. called Hedginds ( I think I spelled that wrong )

Anyway , it was cool to see them in a small place. ( 500 seater )
3 months later , they played the Omni in Atlanta ( 17,000 seater )

I went to see them because they were Randy Rhodes' band before he joined Ozzie and I had seen Randy with Ozzie before he got killed.

I guess maybe Kevin and Randy are jamming again.

R.I.P. Kevin.

Kevin also did some side stuff that had a real bluesy/rock sound to it. It wasn't quite as 'in your face' as their other stuff, although I did love their other stuff. :)

RIP Kevin and Randy Rhoades.......

Real sorry to hear it

Actually saw them here at a famous little club (now closed) called Fern Park Station. Little tiny 400 capacity place made up of old train cars. It was in the mid 90s when Metal was dead before the 80s come back tours. I have been to a lot of concerts, Show was fu..in LOUD!!! Awesome show actually. Hung out with them a bit after, crazy sheot. Then I grew up!

Hegends(I think this is the correct spelling, not 100% sure) was a great rock club. I used to go there to see the Satellites before they were the Georgia Satellites. Great club and some great bands rawked it.:git: :headbang:
