For those of you running 18x12 wheels, what brand and style do you have? Please post a pic if you have one.

There are a ton of 18 X 12 wheels on this forum, i am sure you will get many replies. We have used a lot of different brands / styles , some wih better results then others. One thing to keep in mind with 12" wide wheels. A 2 piece welded wheel is made from a center and a hoop that the center is welded into. The widest 18" hoop made is 10", so if you if you buy a 12" wide welded wheel, it has had the hoop cut, sectioned and widened making it a essentially a 3 piece welded wheel. My personal experience with welded 12" wide wheels has not been to terrific, I will leave the brand bashing out. Let's just say we have had some balance and true issues. Also, most wheel companies charge $400 to $500 MORE per wheel for 12" cut and welded wheels. Making the cost of those wheels within pennies of the cost of true 3" piece bolt together racing type wheels.

So on our builds we try to use only 3 piece bolt together racing type wheels. Unless the customer is hell bent on something different, then we just issue the standard hazard warning and disclaimer, LOL!

Frank is correct as always. If you want a 12 wide that is not a cut hoop step up to 20's and you dont have that problem. Otherwise be carefull of what you buy.

On my last build, I used 18X12's in the back. Budnik's. No true or balance issues with them. On my current build, Im using 18X11's in front and 18X15's in back. And Budnik is building these as well. Ill have them in 2 weeks.
Budniks standard charge for any size over 10" wide is ~$400/wheel, over and above the initial cost of the wheel.
