Not to hijack your thread, but what are all you people doing with all these solidworks drawings and whatnot?
I have the program, but I haven't messed with a it a lot. But it seems like the only things its good for is making neat 3d pictures of an item you want to build, or for designing something for a cnc.
I suppose it probably does 3d blue prints as well, but I just don't get what you guys are doing with all these pictures that are being posted and requested?

As I use it daily I can answer that from my point of view. I do a lot of development of sheetmetal parts for work. Sometimes to develop sheetmetal panels for a project, I reference the van model I get from the manufacturer (Chrysler in this case). The model for a 9" ford rear could be used to develop a suspension design or for checking clearances with other chassis components. Another use is for documenting custom made or modified parts for future reference. A lot of times when something needs to be made on-the-fly, I get the information from the fabricator and create a model to document it. Its also a lot easier and cheaper to change an idea or concept in the 3D world before cutting metal or ordering material you dont need.
To the original poster, sorry, no model. It wouldn't be hard to take some measurements and create a quick model though.
