Hi,
I'm running a 2nd Gen(70-81) Camaro front clip and want to improve things.Do the C5/C6 and the like conversions utilise the one piece spindle or has this got to go?
All help appreciated,Kev.

Most C5/C6 conversions that I'm aware of (KORE3, Touring-Classics, Baer, etc) us the OE spindles and require that they be modified. This spindle is an integral cast design with the caliper mounting ears and steering arm cast as part of the spindle versus the earlier modular design where everything bolted-on. The existing cast-in caliper mounts need to be cut off and two of the dust shield holes are then drilled and tapped larger for the mounting brackets.

Around 78 they changed the spindle's outer bearing diameter so before ordering any kit verify which one you have.

There's a guy over on Nastyz28 .....I forget his name but he works for
NASA and as a side job he puts together an entire C5 package
COMPLETE start to finish for 2nd gens for ~$1,000 for the fronts.
2 of us have bought them from him and mine is solid as can be.
I'm very pleased with the results. PM me if you want his information.
I can get his name by emailing one of my cohorts over there.
I'm also Aceshigh over there. Unfortunately I never took any pics
of just the brakes to show anyone cuz I'm a retard. :squint:
This is the best I got. Here's a thread we dedicated to the knowledge. > http://www.nastyz28.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74546

That Camaro looks darn near like my project! I used the bright blue the late 80s/early 90s Dodge trucks used. White Z stripes over the 4" cowl hood and down the rear.
It's getting Wilwood in the fronts and 81 TA rear setup but using Wilwood metric calipers to ditch the ratchet caliper.
The 500" Pontiac motor going in it is almost done.
