Are the Edelbrock IAS shocks all they are cracked up to be? Ive heard a few good things about them but I need to know more.

I think the IAS shocks are very nice. They seem to work well on a car with moderate spring rates. IF you are running very stiff springs I doubt they will be valved firm enough.

What kind of car are they for???

Agreed, if the spring rates are moderate and you`re going to put a lot of real world driving miles on the car they`re a good choice. You may give up a little ultimate performance to Bilsteins or Konis but they`re a nice compromise of performance and street manners. I have them on my daily driver,they handle cavernous Pa. pot holes better than OE style shocks and enhanced handling a great deal too. I`ve heard their life span may not be as long as some other performance shocks but I suspect *much* higher than stock spring rates may be involved in those cases. Marcus SC&C
