Putting my vett back on the street.. Any midyear vette owners dealt with improved exhaust. Anybody turbo charged a small block 400?

I have a 72, but the midyear frames are essentially the same. Sidepipes would solve lot of problems on a lowered car, but I stayed undercar and ran 3" using Dr Gas and Spintech pieces. I used oval tube under the diff which is the low point. I attached a couple of pics. Hope this helps.

I had a 69 and did oval 3 inch, to the rear end, then flowmaster 40's in the factory location. except with flush mount exhaust tips cut like the body curve.

Dude! a mid-year has to have side pipes period!!! I worked on a 67 for a local guy. It had side pipes and a ZZ4. It sounded great. I will see if I can find some pics.

phil,
thanks for the info and pictures,,couldn't help to notice maybe two rear camber rods per side in the back off the differential....How is that working? I was thinking about using those very flat and thin nascar mufflers and let them out in front of rear wheels. If you have any other pictures of your undercarriage that would be

The 2 camber rods are part of a 5 link rear setup that came off a GT1 car. Greenwood cars used them and Guldstrand still sells a variant of it. Replaces the stock trailing arms/camber rods and offers a great deal of improvements. The C4 production suspension used a lot of the concepts learned from it. I'll dig around for other pics, the best one I could find is attached. It is older, from initial fittings.
I looked at that option with the Dr Gas boom tube, side exit style also. Ground clearance would make it hard without notching the frame, not something I wanted in a mostly street car without a full cage for structure. A lot of the race Corvettes I have looked at had the notch for clearance.
