Looking for pictures from people who have done something other then stock with their camaro's.
Got a 69 with the DSE electric headlight doors but he wants to do something other then the stock grille. I would like to do something other then your typical billet insert.
Thanks

I still think that has to be the best inexpensive grill ive ever seen. Looks great. If only the 69' didnt have such a huge grill i would do that. Did you just throw that over you stock grill?

I took out the original plastic mesh (which was damaged en missing pieces anyhow) and replaced it with the alu mesh as shown in the pictures. That mesh was sold very very cheap at a supermarket (!!) and costed me less then $10,-. Bought enough to exchange it a couple of times, if and when necessary.
Thanks for the compliment, yes it is inexpensive and I also still like the way it looks.

Kudos to you for creativity. How thick is the mesh because i dont want to remove the inner stock grill on my camaro and put something to flimzy.

It's 'bout .05" thick(1.2 mm), so not very thick but it's quite strong. Most likely because of the shape it's pressed into. Love to see it when you do put it on your car.
Sorry for HJ-ing the thread like this.

This may sound kinda stupid, but how did you attach the grill? I'm doing the same thing to a Firebird and it seems like welding it is the best bet. Looks very nice!
