Hello everyone,
I don't have a car yet but the money is being put away and I should be able to move onto a running car this spring.
I have had a handful of Nissan 240SXs. They are RWD, 5 speed and 150hp from the factory. Independant rear and do very well with handling mods. I have kept my last one to drive while I work on my G-Machine project.
I hope to go for a 70s Nova or Chevelle. Thing is I love so many bodies that I don't know what I will end up with. Either way I will be happy.
Shoot I saw a sweet looking 72 Skylark for sale that I would love to own.
I am also a member/lurker on Lateral-G and came over here after reading/watching an interview with John Parsons and his mint Nova.
I weld a bit and finally have the space to have a car for a long term build.
My goals would be something that can take turns nice and tight and stop when things get hairy. I have a wife and kids and would like to take them cruising in something cool. Also some power would be nice too.
So that is pretty much it I will continue with my lurking and subcribing to the awesome threads on this site. :D

Welcome StanBo. Nice to see another Central NJian on here. Where in NJ are your from. I am in Spotswood which is right next to East Brunswick or right down the road from Edison/New Brunswick area. I am in the same boat as you, am currently looking for a nice driver that me and my son can enjoy on the weekends! Yeah I guess the wife too! Good Luck and let us know what you find!

Thank you!
Wow your car is very nice.
I did a quick search and for comparison my 240sx weighs 2712 with 155/160 hp/tq.
A site listed the 69 chevelle as 3098.
Am I nuts to think I can shave 300lbs off of a chevelle if I was to get one?
I would like the car I build to handle in the ballpark of the 240sx but she is nimble.

Same town my friend. I just moved to Spotswood a couple months back.
I will keep my ears open for you as well. I have a couple co-workers that know their ways around domestics and have given me some help.

Wow, what a small world! Spotswood of all places. I have been looking for a car for a few months now but haven't come across one I like yet. I think I am to picky. Hopefully by next spring i will have something to cruise in! My son is only 4 months now, but it is only a matter of time before hes walkin and talkin and wanting to go for a cruise to a local event. If you find any local clubs or something like that let me know. Also if you ever need another set of hands for something your working on let me know, I am located right behind the high school. My email is under my profile. Good Luck with your search

I am the opposite. I am not too picky at all. Well I want it to run and have the least amount of rust possible.
Ah 4 months. You still have time my two are 4 and 3.
I haven't looked for any local muscle clubs but I run an import club that is a lot of fun.
I will add you to my list of contacts.
Good luck with your search as well. I want my 1 lat G and good stopping power and I want it now lol.:naughty:

Welcome aboard from a fellow Jerseyan! I'm up in the NE corner, about 15 minutes outside of NYC. This site is a great place to get ideas about projects, what works, and what looks awesome. Lots of very knowledgeable people on this site. Best of luck on your hunt for a project car!
