Ordered mine on 7-20-07 arrived on 10-23-07 basically about 3 months. Aside from the time it took it is a great tank couldn't be happier.

I'm at about 14 weeks now. I'm sure SEMA dont help, not that I think that should be an excuse. But, mine is a wierd application, and yeah, it is a nice piece.

Ricks is way behind right now, but trying to catch up. Thing is if you don't get in line, it just takes that much longer. Still one of the best products we sell, just takes some time.

true but they are not the only option. I bought mine through the GP store and i am happy with the price :) and i will be happy at the 8 weeks that i was quoted.

The first tank I got from Rick's took about 8-10 weeks (can't remember for sure) but good 'ol UPS damaged it during shipping! I sent it back to Rick's to be repaired and the spot that was damaged couldn't be fixed so they built a new tank (lose a turn and go back to week 1). By time the second tank was just about done, Hector noticed the builder made a mistake, so they had to make a 3rd tank!!!! Week 1 here I go again. I think overall it took close to 4 months before I had the Rick's tank installed from when I ordered it. Yes the wait (and other issues) sucked, but the tank is a work of art and I'm very happy I didn't give up! If/when it's time to do a tank for the Chevelle, I'll order one from Rick's.

Rick's all the way, I ordered mine in advance of needing it so the wait was not an issue. The tank is truly a work of art in performance and looks.

I bought mine thru Jeg's and if I remember correctly, it took a week or so. Well worth the wait and my Camaro appreciated it.

Cheers,

It only took about 5 weeks to get mine? It came last week and looks great. For once maybe it was faster to get something for a Mopar than a Chevy :)

So, of the people that have had to wait (other than the bad luck guy with multiple rebuilds ;)) has anyone had to wait longer than they were told?

I know I have wasted some money by ordering a cam to replace one that I though the order got lost on because the delivery time was much later than when I was told it would arrive. (BTW, does anyone want a large solid roller SBC cam? I'd like to recover some of the extra money I spent.)

Ya pretty much everyone in this thread. :spank2: It's no secret that when someone tells you 8 weeks in the auto business, take it times atleast 1.5 more than likely 2. Thats my experience with damn near everything so far. Some are justified and worth waiting for and some aren't. In this case it sounds like it is worth the wait.

Took about 8 weeks and was well worth it. I saw some similar tanks at SEMA and they didn't even compare looks wise

You should realy wait before posting something like this. 8 weeks is 8 weeks not 6 weeks and a day. Quality takes time.
