It dpends on the use- Eatons (when fresh) put equal power down to the each wheel. Over time, the clutches lose their bite- and that rate of bite-loss is directly proportional to the amount of power & abuse you put to it. Time tested & work good/great.

The True Trac is good to go as well- for me, on a street car (re: 90% street-driven), they're hard to beat. They won't put the same heat in the rear that the Eaton does under abusive conditions, and if you're being adventurous in the turns, it still puts power to both wheels as they turn @ different rates. Worth the extra $$ in my opinion.

BUt- it all boils down to intended use.

The True Track doesnt like drag racing... it will grenade the case.

If the EATON is used... I would suggest that you put the OE EATON steel clutches into it. It is also a tunable unit for its intended use.

Drag racing, hard abuse and all around use... EATON with the steel clutches.

No drag racing and... best... for all around use... True Track.

I think its worth it myself. And as the Spartan said... it really comes down to end use.

I had both the eaton and true trac
Eaton= Great for Drag Racing and sucks for everything else
True Trac= Great for all around fun but dont be beating on it to hard at the strip

I took my eaton out for the true trac and will never look back
