1st gen ls1 swap with turbo

Anybody running a first gen ls1 swap with a turbo? If so was it a complete custom job or did you buy a kit (STS) and fabricate.....

As of right now I'm going to be running an ls2 with l92 heads and a l76 intake in a stock 1st gen. I was looking for a turbo system that would fit on a 1st gen. Will your turbo headers fit on a 1st gen with stock fbody accesories? Can you pm cost?

Why does everyone want to run twins? Anyone know of a front mount that will work for a 68 camaro that will allow me to retain the A/C and powersteering. I know the truck manifolds work and are good but I can't live without a/C. Who makes a relocation bracket for the ls motor's

Most people want to run them just for looks. The practical reason is quicker spool up for throttle response. LS1 makes good top end power but is not known for bottom end torque so this makes for a good combination on a street car. There are several other smaller reasons but not as important unless you just can't make the room for a larger turbo.
