Seconded. Same with BG stuff. Go Either Holley or Edelbrock. Anyone can put a racing sticker on a carb.

I agree that's one reason I started building new custom Holley's from scratch.

Correct part selection and live test final product dialed into customers specs.

Holley, Pro Systems and custom Holleys like Shaker 455 are the way to go.

Proform - bad
BG - ??? I hear some people swear by them and others call them junk. A buddy is running one on his Chevelle (350 .030over) and loves it. Worked great right out of the box. Another buddy never got it to work well enough to drive his car. Shavings in the bowls and blew the PV within a week.

Agreed,I have never been to enamoured with BG carbs even though I still run a 750DP Speed Demon on my '70 Z/28.

Patrick James @ Pro Systems makes the best carb I've ever owned IMHO...bar none!The man will make a carb to your specs that will out-perform everything else...straight out of the box.
