i am thinking about purchasing a photoshop program to start trying to do renderings on and i was wondering would Photoshop elements 6.0 be a good program to start on
and could someone reccomend a good cheap scanner
im 14 so im kinda on a budget here

Not sure if it is just a basic Photo editing program. You can get your hands on an older version of Photoshop (6 or even 7) for probably the same price and works great! Just because CS3 is available does not make it better...just more options.
Do your homework...look around on the web. As for a scanner...you can find a decent scanner for around $50.00 these days. Again look around on Google...anyone else have a suggestion?

I agree with Don.

You could probably get a good scanner for 50 bucks and a copy of photshop 7 for around 80 to 130 bucks.

Then I would suggest you go through photshops help file just to learn what the different tools do. JUst ask questions any of us would be happy to answer your questiions if you're stuck.
