Bought a 68 camaro convert a couple of years ago.. bad,bad shape
new floor, quarters and fenders etc etc .... anyway one of the main reason's i bought the car was I had an old hot wheels model of a 68 camaro I thought i would use as my model.. posted a picture of the model on another site and the car got bashed.. maybe I'm missing somthing but I think it looks pretty cool but maybe I'm out of my mind .. i spend a lot of time on the body work and don't want to mess up the paint.. Honest opinions is this really bad? is there anything any one would change? help !!! I might have bad taste any ideas??

F*ck no, that looks awesome. It looks like it going to be expensive but I'd rock it.

Sounds like you picked the wrong board to post it up at. Because had you asked here, you'd have got told to go for it. It's *your* dream. *You* live it.

Forget what everyone else thinks. I think it's cool and looks great. Someone else thought it was cool enough to make a toy of. Why not build one full scale?

if you make your camaro look like that you get definite props its looks badass. It's like this creamsicle candy i used to have back in the day and damn they were amazing.

DO IT, DO IT RIGHT NOW

If i did the car the way the model looks my plan was to call the car

The CreamSICKle

was thinking all black interior ??

(got the CreamSICKle idea from a fellow pro-touring member)

You could do black interior with orange stitching. That'd be HOT.

i think that would be sick...id prolly put some differnt wheels on there but thats just my personal preference...but i think the black interior with orange stiching would be siiiiick

i like it alot. The stripe kinda looks like a Baldwin Motion-ish makes it stand out imo. Black with orange stitching sounds very nice.

hell yeah. that's awesome. as my friend said as we were picking up our rental car at SEMA, "I'll pimp that." (he was talking about our Caddy, but the same thing applies for the Camaro)

I think it is great! The forum you posted on previous sounds like a bunch of stuffy butt plugs!:screwy:

You have found the right forum. You will get a variation of responses...ultimately it does not matter what everyone else thinks...you are the one driving it. Not them. I have met a few designers from Hot Wheels and Jada toys and they come up with some very cool die cast cars THAT SELL!

Sweet car.
It looks like it going to take some real talent to do the metal work. The flared fenders and hood look a little tricky. The rest is just labor and parts. Go for it.

The hood will be a 2" cowl ... the wheels are 17" KMC "hot wheel" rims and the style of the KMC is called the "sixty eight" condiering I'm working off a "hot wheel" model and my car is a 1968 camaro the wheels seem to be destiny.. i'll post a picture of the rims when i can find them on line.. now if i can figure out how to turn the shot i have to black interior and a convertible then add the "hot wheels" sixty eight rims.. i can finally see what i'ts going to look like.. thanks to everyone who has been posting I feel better

I'm not sure about the hood. The header panel and hood from Devious gets my vote. Otherwise go with the model and don't pay attention to what those "other" boards are telling you.

I think that would be an AWESOME ride.

If you dig it, F&%k the haters. I love it when certain types stick their nose up at my car.

What state allows 8 characters on their plates? California only allows 7.

The idea of the hood is taken from a 2009 camaro, which is as per the builder of the car. I don't like the front spoiler or whatever it is called though..
