:pat:I screwed myself over on this one. I went to see the car today before he layed out the stripes and its too dark. I told him that I wanted it "Mellenuim Yellow 79" and thats not what I wanted. I needed "Bright Yellow 51" with the black stripes. He says I should keep it the way it is but it wont be the "bumblebee yellow" in my eyes. Its going to cost me another $500 to sand/tape/repaint it the yellow I want. Its my fault, I gave him the wrong code.
What should I do? What sucks is that I'm broke to cover the ADDED $500. :slap:

work something out with him, even if it takes another few weeks, you'll never be happy with it

I know, I think I'm going to sell my new 22" rims and see what I can do. One thing that I might add is that he's had the car over 5 1/2 months now and I kinda wanted it back by now. :guilty:

as much as that does suck, if you compromise what u want ull never be completly satisfied or happy with it.... in another year you wont care about the 500 but u will care if your car isnt the right color you want!

i know how you feel. my car has been gone for a little over 5 months right now getting paint and body done. i got lucky picking my color, it ended up being better than expected. had it not been what i wanted, i would have found someway to come up with the extra cash to get what i want. it may take a little more time, but in the long run you'll be happier knowing you got what you wanted. good luck, and let us know how it turns out. later...

way I see 500 is cheap to have to recolor a car and tape it all back up and all else that was involved. couple months ago I painted a 65 mustang black wetsanded buffed all ready to go customer came in and wanted to know where his stripes were on the bottom of the car well long story short the guy that was working the car at my work said he would get em put on no problem well the message wasnt relayed to me when he quit, and nothing was in writing so I got screwed on that one enough of my bickering but screwups happen gotta cost somebody, but get it the way you want it you will be a whole lot happier in the end.

Sometimes peace of mind down the road costs more now. Good choice, you would never have been happy with it. Better to shell out $500 now then a few grand later when u have to repaint the whole thing because you can't stand it anymore.

$500 is a no brainer for not looking at the wrong color forever. If I could pay $500 to get the red off my car I'd pay it right now.
