Is it safe to mount a 67 camaro shell to a rotisserie using:

front-firewall subframe mount (I assume this is best)

Rear-to the rear bumper mounts (the tail piece is removed, so this is only held to the shell by the factory welds on the inside of the trunk)

The rear is my concern. Where is the best place to mount to a rotisserie in the rear?

thanks!

this is exactly where I mounted mine on my 67. It held up for a about a years worth of spins with no problem. One sug. though is to use a bunch of washers on the back where it mounts to the bumper mounts otherwise it will tend rub a lot on that area. Otherwise yes, this is a very secure way of mounting it.

If you can get brackets to the rear spring mounts in the subframe that would be the most stable location, and they won't induce a lot of stress into the body panels that aren't intended to carry the weight of the car.
