It was just east of the Alum Rock area of San Jose. I felt it pretty good here in Redwood City. I almost jumped on my dresser so I could pretend I was surfing....

meh. My dog noticed it. He freaked out. All we could tell was the pull chains from the ceiling fan were probably moving because of it.
/the big one is coming.

Nah. Little ones mitigate the pressure.

Every time the wife and I feel one come and go we are thankful that they come in little bursts and not the big one.We feel them every couple weeks or so. Just depends on nmagnitude and proximity to the house. They occur much more frequently then that though.

What cracks me up is the media's blatant attempt to blow things out of proportion. They make mad attempts to find some, ANY damages or injuries. You can almost see the disappointment on their faces as they talk to people who are saying "yeah. we felt it. It was no big deal."

Yeah, KRON 4 here had at least a full hour special report on it last night, and this morning it was all over the morning news. Funny stuff. I didn't mind it. Made an otherwise boring night exciting.

I missed it. I was just in Redwood City last week. As an East Coaster, you can bet it would have had to change my shorts.

You were here? Great. Next time I'm over there, I'm not telling you. :poke: j/k
They're really nothing to be afraid of unless the ground opens up underneath you. That almost never happens anyway....

I forgot you're in RWC. would have been great to grab a beer. Truthfully, it was all biz and I didn't have time to poop. We had a conference at the Sofitel and I was non-stop client schmoozing.
I did get out to Kingfish in San Mateo for a client dinner though, great tuna steak!!!
I'll prob be out there in Feb and will reach out.

Now the news will be playing it up with "is California really ready for the next big one" and "what you can do to be ready" blah, blah, blah.

lol.... They were doing that about 10 minutes after the damn thing. I don't think I'll ever be prepared. I'll just revert to my human instincts from when I was a neanderthal in a past life.
