View Full Version : Time for Stripes?

Sometimes I think the all black car is a little boring. I've had this idea to make a stripe across the front end inspired by TonyL's (http://img512.imageshack.us/img512/1514/1102423yd7.jpg) awesome 'vair or Vinz68 (https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/vbpgimage.php?do=full&p=2381) on my 68.
I have ZERO photoshop skills so I can't even play around. If someone had the time to tinker with it, that would be great. Here's a couple of not so good pictures of my car. If you want a bigger file or different angle let me know.
My thought is to use the gunmetal gray from the forgelines as the stripe color. Thoughts? Thanks guys!

This would have been a good angle...but too many reflections to see it. Personally do not want to spend too much time airbrushing out all these reflections. Best to take it in a large "open" area.

yeah, crappy pics agreed. Thanks for the attempt. I'll take some better pics and try again.

I think you got the right idea. I like the angled stripe TonyL has on his car better than the other straight up & down strip on the blue camaro.
Just my .02 cents

The red might be a little much, but...

The red is a little much. I think from understated right past overstated, but thanks!

Thought that this suits your Camaro. A little extra something. I noticed the symmetry is off a bit, but you get the Idea.
Better Pic better look. High resolution or large pic with good lighting. A little advice...Never shoot with the Sun behind as it tends to wash out color.

Too bold for me. Nice 'chop, but the red is too flashy. Maybe all gray... no engine size.

That would look good also. Nice & subtle, the stripe angle & proportion are dead on.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>

I do not mind doing the "Chops." Elaborating on details would help us guys doing them a great deal. Colors, thickness of stripes, wheels (submitting the styles) etc. What ever information you can provide us can greatly increase the desired outcome.
Thanks.

What about 1 single wide stripe down the hood and trunk?
