This should be an easy one. Ive been doing a lot of Corvair related research and bench racing lately. I like the roofline of the 4 doors better because the more substantial C pillar seems better proportioned. Id like to see one converted into a 2 door. Heres a picture of a 4 door to work with and a 2 door for reference the door length etc from. Feel free to be creative and put color on it too. And for everyones' sake get rid of the fake spokes and whitewalls and give it a PT stance. Thanks a million!

Looks sweet as usual ALLKAR, but you missed his point. Read his line 2. He wants the 4 door roofline.

I know, sorry, just don't like the 4-door roof line.:dunno:

Nice work, guys, as always. Im not totally sold on it myself but I wanted to see what it would look like. Looks to me just like a mini first gen Camaro. Now the question is if one were to do this do you start with a 4 door and get 2 door doors and quarters or start with a coupe and graft on a roof from a 4 door?

Fitch made a roofline like you are looking for.

Also here is one on craigslist with a different roofline.

I really dislike the fitch roofline. what you want is a yenko stinger sail panel.. the idea was exactly the reason you site. Looks like a camaro that way.

clarks corvair sells them.
I like the "bubbletop" vibe that the corvair has without them. the decklid is SO big that drawing attention to the rear of the car makes them look odd. Hence the stripe on the front of my car.

if you were to french those fiberglass panels in, it'd look like so. It probably wouldn't even be that hard. People shave drip rails off of corvairs all the time.
it looks like it was meant to look that way in this 'chop.

O yeah I like that a lot and thats way easier than grafting parts around between 2 and 4 doors. Thanks, Tony.

Allkar,
Besides the wheels/stance/door handles, are there other changes you made in that green coupe that I'm missing ???

In the 4-2 door chops, the roofline ends up looking more Chevelle like (64-65) than it does Camaro. Is it just me?

My idea was to run a C5/C6 Zo6 drive train. Suspension, Front engine, rear trans and diff. Something like novanutcase's '66 Nova.
The differences are - Stretched about 4" in front of door, shortened the rear of the car behind the rear wheel opening, removed fuel door, extened lower front valance, tucked bumpers, removed rear seats.
