Water in Engine Compartment - Electrical Problems / Suggestions?

Well... I cleaned out my engine compartment tonight. Degreased it and washed it down with water. I covered the carb with a plastic bag, but some of the electrical wires got wet.

Now... My friggin blinkers don't work and also my power brakes run an electric motor that fills a vacuum canister. Well the electric motor isn't working either now.

Will all of this dry out and things will work again?

Geeesh... It seems like one thing after another with this car. 10 minutes of driving and everything goes to hell.... :scared:

On the electric motor you can spray it down with WD40 (water displacement 40th chemical combination). On the other electrical stuff you need to figure out where and why the water is causing a malfunction. If it is in a plug in style connection you need to use dielectric grease to help seal it.

wd40=cheap a$$ watered down kerosene. Draws moisture as bad as anything out thier.
At local government reservation if you get caught using wd40 your fired. Period.
NOW if you use it make sure you blow it all out of the connections and motors too. untill it dries out(yes it will dry up but it will draw moisture as bad as anything)it can also cause a lot of electrical issues.
The best water proofing.displacing/penetrant is Cyclo Break Away.
Makes WD40 and and PB Blaster look like horse urine.
