I'm wondering if anyone would have info or advice for fitting a 305 series tire or bigger under a 64 Chevelle Malibu. I can't afford to do a complete chassis and can't find any mini tub kits for it. Any information will help.

Its pretty tough on a 64, we did a frame narrow and we could only squeeze a 275 on it. Might be different with 17's 18's.

i am in the middle of my 65 chevelle I have done a 2" mini tubb and am able to get 315's under it. I have heard though if you massage the outer fender about 1 inch you can fit a 305 under.

How much of the frame did you have to move in.

I moved my frame inboard 2" per side if i fuged the fender out a little I could probably get a 325 or a 335 under there. but i am happy with a 315

I am in the middle of my 65 alteration. I am shooting for 20x10's in the rear. I have mini tubs from a 55 Chevy build a buddy was doing. The frame is already coated so I am not cutting it. I will let you know how it works out. I have a guy from MHT wheels bringing out a few different hoops with different backspacings to get the perfect fit. I am shooting for the 325's but we will see what the mini will allow. I dont have plans on messing with the quarter at all....Let ya know!

I have a 65 chevelle with no chassis mods, and the wheels lips are trimmed. 245-18" in the front and 275-18" in the rear. I don't know what size rims your looking to get. I used to have 225-16" on a 7" rim with a 4 1/4" b/s in the front, 255-16" on a 8" rim with a 4 3/4" b/s in the back. Hope it helps.
