Sorry the title date doesn't match...but I'll be running at Buttonwillow on 11/03/2007, along with my brother with his '68 Camaro on that Saturday. Hope you can come out and play with us!

We're running the Green Flag event Thanksgiving weekend instead. Probably driving back from SEMA on Nov. 3rd and may stop by B'willow.
If any other P-T'ers out there want to "track" with us, come on up to Buttonwillow that Sat/Sun of Thanksgiving weekend. Should be fun.
Cheers,
Mary Pozzi

you can, You Can, YOU CAN!!! All you need to do is fill truck with fuel, back the truck up and hook the trailer hitch to the ball, load Camaro on trailer, and then head north for about 100 miles or so.
El Motorhome is waiting so no excuses on having to put out $$$ for lodging.

Try to make that Thanksgiving date with Green Flag, I think you'll be impressed by the cars that show up.

Carl,
Cruise Buttonwillow. Your in the L.A. area. Just get a set painter too make up some murals of to ocean during the day. Put the in-laws in the motorhome and arrive at the track at night then set the murals up around the motorhome and hire some guy in a boat crew outfit to serve them foo-foo drinks and you might get away with it? To be sure have the drinks mixed strong, and tell them you are just going to the pool during your sessions...

I'm tap'in out of the Sat. date...just looked at the track config., it's CCW with the dragstrip open, way to fast for me! D. Pozzi, have you ever ran it that way? Dan is probably gunna run Sunday though.

Dave, I did it that way but clockwise. I hit just over 150 mph then ran out of gear and was only 3/4 of the way to the end! :)

That was in the stock '02 Camaro SS . . . (just kidding). It was in the Can-Am Lola T70 at a track day there. 550 hp and 1800 lbs of fighting fiberglass.
Should be fun . . .

Just got done unpacking from SpeedVentures. We had good day, nothing major broke and the Chevelle got me back home again as always! We had to run in the "Red" group which is their fastest because there wasn't any room in the lower classes for us and actually had a better time running with people who knew what they were doing. As long as you kept your line there was no problems and I was only passed by 6 cars in the field in 8 laps...not too bad for a big car against full on race cars I thought. ;-) My brother Dan in his '68 Camaro was actually giving them a run for there money until he lost a header gasket.
Dave and Mary...thanks for stop'in by on your way home, alway like hang'in out with you 2 and wish you could have stayed

If SpeedVentures is anything like NASA Group 4 you did great. There are folk's in NASA Group 4 that spin Infineon in the 1:40's (i.e. NASCAR quick). It is racing organization though.

I've registered for Saturday for the Green Flag event at the end of the month but plan to include or switch to Sunday so I can run with all you goofballs.
Bring your "A" game and plan to have some fun. Also, bring something edible if you want to join in on the Friday and/or Saturday night BBQ at the Hotel Harless-Pozzi at the track. We're bringing ribs so may need a head count to ensure we don't run out. Earlier this year, it was the "loaves and fishes" as we had about ten extra people show up. Very fun and just barely made it food-wise.
And Carl . . . you CAN do this event. I'll write you a note excusing your absence.
Cheers,
Mary Pozzi

I'd like to but will be tapped out for $$$ for track days. Green Flag's also co-hosting a track day on December 22 at Laguna Seca with the Nor-Cal Shelby Club and I hope to do that one as well as the Green Flag Thanksgiving weekend.
Speed Ventures is a good group and holds some good events.
Cheers,

I think there's a nominal track entrance fee ($10), sign a release, and that's it. There's a place that serves lunch and great areas to spectate. You can see almost all of the track from a few places.
Come on out . . .
