Tony Barker Racing Engines...anyone ever heard of them? im looking at buying there 383 Pump gas show stopper 568/542 on good old 91 octane. They use a stuska dyno and heres the page. All forged internals, roller engine, great price also.

Rob...your best bet is to call them and ask if they keep references of past customers. That's a pretty damn good price for a gen I engine of that caliber.
....almost too good.

Lol thats what im thinking. Im gonna get that number down and give them call. With all those forged internals this thing would love some spray.

he is local to me. he used to build alot of nascar stuff 20 years ago. He builds for many of the local drag racers around here. I know of of two people that have used him and neither will EVER use him again. I also used him to balance my last 438. He knicked my crank journal and basically said "so what".

you missed out. i just sold a 383 with 2000 miles on it for $3500. made 483 Hp on the dyno.
I do know of a great local machine shop to me. He built the rest of my 438 top to bottom. It is a low 8 second drag car with potential to break into the 7's if they get the chassis right.

Well are there any other companies youd reccomend to buy a crate engine from? Looking for something close to 500hp and no more then 8k if possible. Small block also.
