Try looking into using all 69 door parts

I was always under the impression you could not easily swap the doors or the door guts from a 68 or 69 into a 67.

I dont know if it can be done. here is the problem, 67 was the only door of the camaro that you could not change any of the parts. The outer skin has a indentation where the wing window gos, and the henges are different. The inner door is also different because of the sheet metal on the upper door. two ways of doing this that I know of, get a 68 door weld the holes in your door jam and retap the jam to accept the 68 hinges. The second way (I dont really know if will work) is to take a 68 door cut out the inner door and graft it in the 67 door and reskin with a 68 door skin. I'm shooting for the second option cause I nearly poked my eye out this year, and I love the sheet metal of the upper inner door. I'm just waiting on a 68 doner door.

67 & 68 doors are not interchangable! I don't think it's worth all the trouble to try, is it? Wing windows are not that bad.

I removed the vent windows on my 62 Chevy II 2 door post and it was involved. My windows were flat so I had custom side glass cut. If a 68 glass would fit, maybe you could modify the door skin. The area at the top of the door is notched around the vent window, you'll have to staighten out the lip. You'll have to get the correct window belt line weather stirp. I had to get bulk weather stip and make it work for mine. The front of the window will need to ride in a channel as it goes up and down. Street rod companies sell universal kits for this, that's what I used, maybe a 68 could be modified to fit. If the window regulators don't work, you may be able to use an electric window kit for streetrods or maybe a late model car and make that work. I had to use an electric window kit from electra-life, I believe that was the company, and fabricate some brackets to make them work. It is a kit for street rods. You'll also have to worry about the weather stripping around the door opening on the body, maybe the 68 would work. I had to get rid of the vent windows because they hit my custom dash when opened. I do like the look better without them.

I have thought of making a kit to do this but when I set down and actually looked at how involved it would be I changed my mind. The change over kit wouldn't be that difficult to do, its the time and expense that would be the issue, would it be worth it?
I have a 67 and the two good things that come to mind first are extra air you can circulate and the space under the vent window is perfect for speaker placement. You can even build an enclosure for them to get some excellent mid bass.
My 2 cents.

I wish I had ridden in a car with vent windows before buying mine. The reduction in wind turbulance is huge. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldv'e gone with a '67 for that reason alone.
