We are running a mild LS1 in the 68 Camaro we are building and I am trying to figure out which fuel line would be best.
Walbro has donated a GSL392 fuel pump for the project and they need to know whether I need AN-6 or AN-8 fittings on the pump.
I am thinking AN-6 is adequate, am I right?

I'm starting to think AN-8 is my choice. Might as well go big in case Shawn wants to bump up the power at some point.

exactly. There's very little price difference. I use 1/2" (#8 hardline) for all my builds.

6AN will support 900 rwhp with the right pump.

-6 will easily support your needs and be easier and less expensive to plumb.

I believe -6 will support the power, but -8 is so much easier to assemble that it may be worth it to go that way.

Most of us go through this dilemma when configuring AN fuel systems. The truth is -6 is plenty for most applications and can handle at least 750 HP naturally aspirated engines. That being said, myself included, I like the idea of -8 for the possibility of upgrading to say maybe a Procharger or other forced induction components.

I went with 6an teflon hose. It really makes a difference on gas fumes after the rubber hose is a couple years old. I plot my fuel pressure in the data monitor and never a problem. However mine is only 540 horse.
