Single turbo?

I want to run a single turbo on a mild SBC.I have a TO4E now but i think its alittle small.Would a turbo from a desiel work for a good single system(no more than 10-12 psi)?
Exactly how do boost reference a mechanical fuelpump?some kind of adjustable regulator?
Good blow thru carb?

hmmm, i bought a T-70 through schwartz extreme performance.. sized to my needs, brand new in the box for arround 550 bucks.. i wouldnt mess about with diesel units and get a half matched setup,

just my 2 cents
