Hope the wheels are turning out there.
In '72 I bought are 69 RS. Drove it for ten years... Had to sell it.
Any way, always wanted another...
My son (Taylor69) is perfecting his build with a lot of research, and help from all of you out there.
Now it's a father/son thing. Of course, I get the benefit from his research and we can order two of many things.
My build is a 1969 Z. It had been raced. The fire wall was cut back 1"..? It was home done mini tubbed.
I spent the first three months replacing the fire wall, cowl, dash pan, rear inners etc. Pretty much reverse what was done.
I plan to keep the car looks as stock as posible.
Re build and beefed up the 400 (now 408) small block. Mild cam, new crank, new Vortek heads, high rise and a 740cfm Holley.
Got it running the other day..... heart rate increase......itchy palms.
Working on cooling issues today.
As soon as I can, I'll have #1 son help me put on some pics. and stick them in the project box. Maybe I can get some ideas from you guys.
Anyway, I have been going through the site and have learned a lot and actually bought a few this and thats off some of you.
Hope to see you on the road some day.
Bryan
