Well, I finally got around to getting the tune on my '67 dialed in. I had the guys at A&A Corvette do the dyno tuning, and am fairly happy with the results. I am very happy with the driveability, and the car picked up around 60 rwhp.
The end result was 505 rwhp and 470 rwtq. 500 rwhp was my original goal when I started the blower project on this car, so I did meet my goal. I thought it would be closer to 550 rwhp, but high intake air temps held me back. A methanol injection system may be in my future, which should be good for another 50 rwhp.
But for now, the car is running great and will burn off the 315's in 2nd gear at speed. The torque curve is basically a flat line, so this thing is a lot of fun to drive. Now I just need to swap in my 9" rearend and take a trip to the dragstrip to see what it can do.

Damn thats just plain sweet. how much boost are you running?

Nice job! I also have a Maggie LS2+A4 trans ready to drop into a 70 GTO. My goal is also 550+rwhp. I am going with methanol and a baby blower cam. Congrats on the numbers.

Thanks guys!
I'm right at about 10 psi right now, and yes, I do have a dyno video. I'm not sure how to get it up here for everyone to see, but I do have it on my computer.
I really need to do the meth setup, because the intake temps were high. My tuner said I could get another 4 degrees of timing with the cooler inlet temps, which is worth a good amount of power. It does feel pretty damn fast right now, so I'll probably do the meth after the new power fun factor wears off.

Great #'s.. What mods beside the blower does the motor have..
Also, nice detail work on the engine.. looks great as well.

It has Patriot LQ9 heads, a Comp XER cam (224/230) & Stainless Works 1 3/4" long tubes. That's it besides Comp pushrods, ARP head studs and a double roller timing chain. Everything else is stock LS1 stuff.
I'm curious as to how well the engine would have performed with less boost. I had a larger pulley that is good for a couple pounds less, but we didn't mess around with it. I wonder if we could have made the same power with less boost and more timing. Oh, well...

Yeah, and I like how that rubber mat behind the car blows apart at the end of the run.

Wow the anticipation in that video killed me but holy hell it was well worth it.

the short block is still stock? Thanks for the info..
I've been trying to decide on what I want to do with my car. This is very great option. I want a clean look and plenty of power. But good drivablity. I had a 4th gen that put down 450 rwhp with a good h/c package, but drivablity was not great. I like the blower route..

Looks and sounds great!!! Puts a little fire under me to get mine finished.
That's it, I'm taking our magnacharged vette out tomorrow. It's been a while since it's been driven I swear. :) Actually I'm just addicted to the blower whine and need a fix.
Nice numbers Andy. Why did who ever was driving wait so long to do the actual power pull? I'm guessing they were data logging and looking at what was showing. The one downside to the magnacharger is it gets heat soaked worse than say a Pro-Charger. The intercooler works great but the meth will be well worth it.

I'm not sure what he was doing that time, but it sure did take a while before he made the pull. He was looking at some kind of data, but I don't know what.
The intake temps did go up with each dyno pull he made, but a cool-down break (maybe 20 minutes) was only good for 7 horsepower. That was my best run, but the previous pull before the cool-down was still 498 rwhp and the same torque as the other run. It's nice to know that I'll be making those numbers (or maybe better with air being forced through the heat exchanger) when driving around and that these are not "dyno queen" numbers.
The meth will be a great addition, but I most likely won't be doing that for a while. I don't know what I need another 50 rwhp for right now on the street. And since the meth will allow for another 4 degrees of timing, that will be a good gain across the board. 1st and 2nd gears are just about worthless at this point, and more power will just make it worse. I guess that's all part of the fun :6gears:
Oh, and I guess I'll be moving up to some 335/35/17's in the back when I waste these 315's. Maybe it will help a little :fingersx:

Does the motor have to be moved foward to fit the blower pulley next to the firewall?

I left the motor in the same position as it was before the blower install. The car has S&P engine mount adapters and the engine sits nice and low. There is still some clearance between the rear blower belt and the firewall, but I was a little worried about that when I ordered the blower. It all worked out in the end.
