20x8x18mm => 4.71" BS
20x10x25mm => 5.98" BS

What year Chevelle? That could impact wheel fitment since they're not all the same. As for the BMW wheels, the wheel pattern is 5x120mm [5x4.724"] versus 5x120.65mm [5x4.75"], and while I know that some choose to run the mismatched patterns, I personally think that it's a bad idea. Anything that unduly stresses the wheel studs should be rethought. Just my $.02 for what it's worth.

70-72 Chevelle and Monte Carlo...Not really concerned about the .65 difference I will be having our aircraft machine shop step them up to the proper 5x120.65. I know to run a 10" out back it usually calls for a 5.5 backspace I think I may be able to get away with the 5.98 backspace....anythoughts I have a 295/50/15 on there now with room on both sides of the tire and the fenders are rolled also..

The company with the wheels emailed me an told me that the rears came out to 6.25 BS and the fronts were 5.5 BS so I think that is probably way to much backspace. Maybe I can see if he can atleast get me the right backspace...

there is a limit but a couple inches should be ok with bolt on spacers, NOT shims. I talked to this guy and he will make the spacers 5 X 4.75 to bolt to the car and 5 X 120MM stud pattern for the wheels in whatever thickness you want.

I'm over on NastyZ28 and asked the same question about putting BMW wheels on my '71 Camaro.

The backspacing required adapter/spacers but the big deal was having to machine the center hub hole to a slightly larger size to mount on a F-body.

I would guess that Camaros and Chevelles have the same hub assembly so it may be an issue with your as well.

Do you homework before you order. PM me if you need to, I have a couple of great fitment calculators saved on my home computer (I'm at work now).

I also notice that the hub assembly would at least need to be checked to make sure of a proper fit. Here is a pic of my Chevelle with a set of rims off of my 2001 M5

^ cp72ss, Did you have to use any spacers or perform any other modifications to get those to fit?

Those look pretty sweet BTW.
