View Full Version : woohoo Finally got my website up and working
Everyone please go by and check it out. www.speedhound.com I have a few more things to do but all in all it's up and appears to be working. Please let me know if something doesn't work for you so that I may try and fix it.
I do have an offer to those that have the ability. I still need a logo for Speed Hound Parts. A full name one I can place on the website, maybe a abreviated logo(SHP) as a site link like this ------>, and use on business cards. So my offer to those that can do that type of graphic work. Toss some examples my way. If I like it and choose it, I'll either give you the best discount I possibly can on any parts I can get, or I'll pay you some money if I don't have anything you want. Just keep in mind I have no money. hahaha so I can't pay a large amount.
As for ideas and what I like. How about something that's edgy but clean. I don't like busy when your looking at a company logo. A person should not have to figure out what your logo literally says to know who they are dealing with. Or surprise me with your own idea. Oh and I'll definitely give you credit with a trademark or signature on the logo so people can know you did the work. That's if you care to anyway.
Thanks
what no one has found anything wrong or has anyone even gone by and looked? I can't believe I didn't make a mistake. This is the first time I have ever built a website

Nice and easy to navigate. Kudos for making an easy to use site, it's nice not being overwhelmed by a whole bunch of graphics and features.

"The sitill be up shortly, please check back for updates. Thanks."
Nice site though, I have some questions for you on the 69 vette you worked on.
Is there a kit you used to make the AC work with the Sanden compressor or where the lines all custom.
Thanks guys I appreciate the kind words. I wanted the site to be simple. Graphics are cool, but you can easily get lost on a site if you don't know what is a button and what isn't. Besides I also have no idea how to do the graphics either. LOL
I wish I had the pictures of that z06 link that's dead. Silver 04 Z06 with euro tail lights and factory gun metal rims. Only mods are vara-ram and headers and cats. Just a very clean car. I love silver C5 Z06s.
The 69 has custom lines and a POA valve replacement thingy. Sorry, can't remember the exact name. I can easily get the valve that's needed though. I use a guy that's over in Conyers for my hydraulic/AC lines. Hydraulic Field Services is the company.
EDIT: hit reload on the page and see if that Z06 link is still there. It shouldn't be at all cause I am not seeing it even.

Very nice job especially for you first go at creating a website! What HTML editor did you use?
Like others have previously mentioned the site is easy to navigate and not cluttered with unnecessary graphics and text. Everything seems well organized and all the links I clicked worked. The one minor thing, and it is probably just me, is when a user clicks the Map hyperlink you may want to consider opening the Map page in a new window versus using the existing window.

Home page you have the following text:
We have now expanded are services to offer parts sales Should be our not "are."
EDIT: clicked around some and is there any reason you don't list part numbers? I might just be wacky but I like to see part numbers when I shop so I can ensure I'm either getting what I ordered or comparing apples to apples.
haha wow I suck at typing. Good eye Chad.
Rod I used Dreamweaver 8. I'll have to see what I can find out about the map thing. That's a good idea though.

It's working. It must have been an issue with vetee brake's website. I tried it last night and it wasn't working. Today it and the others do. Thanks for trying it out for me.
