Well I know that people have been swapping new high horsepower motors into older cars like the corvette motors into 60s camaros but I was thinking of swappin a older style motor into my 98 mustang. I love carb'd motors so my future plan was to swap in one of these:

What would be some things I should expect to change besides the shrinking of my bank account? Thanks.

I believe you would need the K-member from a 94-95 Mustang 5.0 or one of the aftermarket k-members (like from Maximum Motorsports) to do this. This would make the swap easier. Quite a few people have put 351W into mustangs (I believe that engine is based off the 351W), so it is possible.

You might look into the legality of such a changeover before dropping any cash -- I believe some states either don't allow older motors/newer cars swaps, or require that the engine meet the emissions requirements for the body year.

ahhh, thats not cool...well we dong have inspection down here in florida!!! Could probably get away with it here but when I was previously registered in PA there would be no way I could get away with that if there is such a rule.
