I have seen in the past companies that you can send components to and they will "cover" them with carbon fiber. Does anyone have a contact for such a company? I have a few interior pieces I'm thinking about having this done to.

A place called VC Finishes did some stuff for me.
Here is a thread on it. https://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=13034

I have some pieces there now. They are for more reasonable than the other 2 places I called.

Just got my stuff back today (10 days after sending it). Here's an Optima battery cover I had done compared to an extra cover. I smoothed the cover, sealed it and wet sanded with 600 before sending it.

Looks great. Hard to beat the price compared to the real deal.

What did a piece that size run you?

Remember, I gave them the part ready to go. The price was about 40 cents/sq. in. Holes are inluded because that film gets wasted. The battery cover, the '67 center dash, ash tray front and radio bezel cost $87 and that included shipping back to me. There are several places that do this, but VC is the best deal going IMO.
I have a second Optima battery cover for sale cheap if anyone has gotten the idea.

These places are 2-4 X more expensive than VC.
