Putting an ls-2 into a 68 camaro .. rear is ford 9" with trutrac 3.70 and the tranny is a 4l65e.. using global west multi leaf and shackles and DSE subframe connectors.. is there anything more i need to do to beef up the rear to make it work without worries?

second question.. I plan on bolting in the DSE subframe connectors to the front with a bracket and welding the rear..just in case i ever have to take off the front subframe is this a dumb idea?

thanks for your time (I'm just learning and this site has been my textbook)

The transmission should break before the rear end.

Bolting the subframe connectors in the front might be a good idea. Just do it in a way that it is strong and won't flex.

Grade 8 bolts. Sandwich each side. Do not try to use 1 log bolt through both sides unless you weld a tube between the sides. I believe there are 3 holes per side per connector you can use (12 bolts all together).

Use aluminum bushings to mount the sub frame to the body. If you are using sub frame connectors you won't want the sub frame moving around on the rubber or poly bushings.
