Hi everyone. what is the easiest way to get a title on an abadoned car? I have a 67 camaro sitting on my land. it has'nt been titled over 10 years. Is putting a lein on it the easiest way to get the title? any advice would be great. thanks

Is or was the car yours? or was it on your land when you bought? if it was yours, Go to the DMV and get a VIN verification form and fill it out. You have to have a cop verify the VIN on the car and sign the form before taking it back to the DMV. Then all the red tape BS starts.

or you can run a lien, thing is with the lien since it will come back with "no vin on file" status when the lien clears you just take the packet to the dmv and start the reg. fresh. They will want to look at it to make sure your vin plate is intact though...

assuming it is... you pay $50 to start the reg fresh plus whatever current reg. is, and some misc. fees and off you go.
